Why DIY? Why eggs?

Hello and welcome to Laurel's DIY blog! I've decided to start this blog for a few reasons.

1.  I started a business. I did it without a business degree, without a car and without a huge loan. My motivations were simple and I think there are a lot of people who want to do what I have done.

2. Through the course of cleaning hundreds of homes, I'm developed an interest for interior design. My goal is to start an interior design business without going to school for it, so this will be a place where I can post ideas of what I like, dislike and cool things I've come across.

3. Since our my business is bicycle powered, I have learned things about biking in Seattle that could be valuable to other cyclists. It seems like every time I read the news, some poor soul on a bike has been killed because a driver simply "didn't see them." Most drivers don't see you because they are distracted. I''d like to share some experiences and tips for surviving on two wheels.

4. The more I choose to create something for myself in the world, the happier I am. Thus, do it yourself. Words I've come to live by.

5. I chose eggs because I eat them every morning. They are an important part of my day and I attribute all of my success to them. Well, most of my success. Happy reading!
